Lavender, beige, and pistachio lacquer dial hues join the OP family in three sizing options.
It’s officially Rolex time at Watches & Wonders 2025, and The Crown seems to have read my mind on what I’d like to see this year: fresh new colors of its Oyster Perpetual in three sizes, complete with new matte lacquer dials. Thus, springtime has officially sprung in Geneva.
The three new lacquered dial takes are really the novelty here, as the style codes of each of the three new Oyster Perpetuals don’t shake the boat on what we expect from the line. These three new models are also pleasantly streamlined in their functionality, opting to keep it simple with just regular timekeeping (hours, minutes, seconds), letting the fun of the color options speak for themselves.
Selfishly, beginning with my favorite among the bunch, the new lavender-hued model is the itty-bittiest of the bunch, measuring just 28mm in diameter. The sandy beige model might be the reigning champion of unisex-friendly sizing with its 36mm diameter, and the pistachio rounds out the sizing options at 41mm. We’re in the Oyster Perpetual family here, so we already know that each model, no matter its size, features the signature Oyster case along with a bubbly domed bezel (all in the brand’s Oystersteel, no less) with the guarantee of being water-resistant up to 100 meters. The ridged twinlock crown, which features the emblem of the Crown, also does its due diligence to ensure this 330 feet of underwater robustness with its double waterproof system.
The movements within the models vary depending on the size. In the case of the tiny lavender OP, the caliber in question is the automatic Caliber 2232, which has a power reserve of 55 hours and features a Rolex-patented Syloxi hairspring as well as a paramagnetic nickel-phosphorus escape wheel.
The 36mm Beige OP and the 41mm Pistachio OP both feature the Caliber 3230, which has slightly more hours of reserve power at 70 hours. Both the Caliber 2232 and Caliber 3250 were originally unveiled back in 2020, and, as we expect from Rolex, they meet the company's own standards of "Superlative Chronometer" certification, with an accuracy of −2 /+2 seconds per day. All three models are paired with, you guessed it, the brand’s quintessential three-piece-link Oyster bracelet (once again in Oystersteel), with a foldover clasp and Easylink extension system that allows you to adjust the length by 5mm with ease.
All three of these new lacquer-dial Oyster Perpetual models are available now. The 28mm lavender-dial model retails for $5,660, the 36mm Beige is priced at $6,200, and the 41mm Pistachio model is $6,500. For more information, visit the Rolex website here.
