The second colorful limited-production Tudor Black Bay Chrono goes bright and blue
The Tudor Black Bay Chrono pink dial was announced just about a week before the 2024 edition of Watches & Wonders and was -obviously- met with tons of buzz. The color choice made sense from a brand standpoint since David Beckham’s Inter Miami CF Team dons pink as does the leader of the Giro d’Italia bike race, for whichTudor is the official timekeeper. Well, now we see the release of a new turquoise-dial version – what Tudor is calling Flamingo Blue – which was teased by Beckham on Instagram a few days ago.
The basics remain the same, with a 41mm wide and 14.4mm-thick steel case (200 meters of water resistance) on a five-link bracelet (with T-fit clasp). The watch is outfitted with the manufacture Caliber MT5813 movement that has a 70-hour power reserve.
There were some rumors circulating that the pink version had been discontinued, which would actually make sense considering it is a limited-production run (not the same thing as a limited edition, mind you). These proved to be incorrect, and that watch is still around, though no easier to attain. A quick look at the secondary market shows examples for sale with the cheapest hovering around $8,500, which represents just around a $3,000 markup from the $5,675 retail price. The new Black Bay Chrono has the same hue of blue as the retro Inter Miami CF uniform that had some limited-edition runs with Adidas.
The new Tudor Black Bay Chrono matches its pink sibling with a price of $5,875. Hopefully, we'll have some hands-on impressions soon, but until then you can learn more at tudorwatch.com
