However, in 1995 one of their key shipyard clients asked to be supplied mechanical wristwatches that could withstand the tough conditions aboard ships, opening the door to a new opportunity for the manufacture to branch into the production of other timekeeping devices. Today Mühle Glashütte is one of the leading German watchmakers and brings over 150 years of experience to work in each of their pieces.
