A few days ago we ran a poll on our instagram (@teddybaldassarre) asking which of these two Longines GMTs you prefer: the HydroConquest or Spirit Zulu Time Titanium. The HydroConquest is a 41mm steel model with unidirectional bezel and 300m of water resistance and is outfitted with the L844 movement. The Spirit Zulu Time is done in a 39mm titanium case with a 24-hour bezel and outfitted with the L844.4 movement. As usual, there are pros and cons to both but with over 1,100 votes cast this was a poll with a very clear and strong winner…
With a whopping 69% to 31% the Spirit Zulu Time handily won this face-off. The smaller case size and more vintage aesthetic definitely appeals to a lot of you but that’s not to say that the more contemporary looking HydroConquest doesn’t have fans of its own.
