With 2025 coming to a close, the editorial team at Teddy is eager to share some of our favorite new releases of the year. We’ll be starting with one of the more competitive and popular categories out there: dive watches. Really any given year is a big year for divers but 2025 had some refreshed heavy hitters as well as some new entries that push the limits of watchmaking technology. We attempted to keep our final picks somewhat tight but there is, of course, a honorable mentions section at the end where we go through some notable new releases from the year. So, without further ado let’s get into our favorite new divers from 2025.
[toc-section heading="Longines Legend Diver"]

The category of vintage-inspired divers has only gotten more competitive in recent years, but Longines has managed to deliver a truly wearable and memorable lineup with its Legend Diver collection. Fully refreshed and reimagined in 2024, this white dial take on the line is the latest addition to the family, and has become the missing piece to making the entire collection feel complete, well-rounded, and versatile. It feels right at home with its other family members, carrying on the 39mm diameter, and slim 12.7mm case profile that makes it easy to wear when you aren’t about to dive into the deep, though its 300 meters of water resistance means you very well can without worry.
The mid-century design cues look particularly handsome with the crisp white backdrop of the dial, and, combined with the black markers and numerals and mint-hued Super-LumiNova, it might just be the most legible Legend Diver in the whole family. Opting out of the typical dive bezel format, the legend diver instead goes for an internal uni-directional bezel operated via the additional crown, which only adds to its charm and uniqueness in the oversaturated genre. Powered by the COSC-Certified L888 caliber, this watch currently retails at $3,850. — Erin Wilborn
[toc-section heading="Breitling Superocean Heritage"]

Breitling’s stylish and robust Superocean collection, first introduced in 1957 during the heyday of recreational diving, continues to command a passionate fan base today, now divided into two distinctly different yet historically connected families: the core Superocean models, inspired by the cult-classic “Slow Motion” diver chronograph models of the ‘60s, and the Superocean Heritage, introduced in commemoration of the model’s 50th anniversary in 2007. The most recent revamp to the Superocean Heritage came this year, with Breitling replacing the Sellita-based Caliber B20 inside the watch with its own in-house movement, Caliber B31.
Externally, the watch (which has expanded its size options to 40mm, 42mm, and 44mm) still has the mid-century character that made it a favorite. Its unusual handset combines an arrow for the hours and a spear for minutes, both with luminous coating, sharply pointed luminous hour markers with a date display at 6 o’clock. Its steel case features a ceramic-inlay diver’s bezel matched to the color of the dial — green, black, or blue — and comes on either a steel mesh bracelet or a mesh-pattern rubber strap, both of which have been re-engineered to be better integrated to the case and more watertight. Among the benefits of the in-house movement are a 78-hour power reserve and COSC-certified chronometric reliability. — Mark Bernardo
[toc-section heading="Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean"]

Released earlier this fall, the new Seamaster Planet Ocean stands as the final big release of 2025 and it really packed a punch. The Planet Ocean line has long been a collection caught between two worlds: the traditional true dive watch and also a riff on the SMP300 theme via the helium escape valve. It has been known to be big and burly but now it’s something else entirely and we are here for it. Gone is the HeV, giving the new standardized 42mm cased watch a more classic look. It also takes from integrated bracelet models of Omegas past and offers a new case design which is accentuated by an aggressively angular endlink that is present both on the brand new bracelet format (which is great and brings polished center links to the family) and strap models.
Three colors cement this release: a black on black, a blue bezel on black dial, and an orange bezel on black dial which is perhaps the most striking of the bunch. But perhaps the most interesting news from this release is its slim form factor at a mere 13.79mm thick compared to the over-16mm of past Planet Ocean models. This is aided by an enclosed case back with a flat laser-engraving but is nonetheless a real attribute for a watch like this. Between the thinness and the smaller dial aperture, this really wears more like a 40mm diver in all the right ways. — Danny Milton

[text-media heading="" text="One of the most celebrated dive watches of the year had to be the Tudor Black Bay Burgundy which refreshes Tudor’s classic diver with a sunburst burgundy dial inspired by vintage prototype, a thinner 39mm case, redesigned crown, five-link bracelet with T-Fit, and a METAS-certified Master Chronometer movement, blending vintage cues with modern upgrades." image="https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0278/9723/3501/files/Tudor-Black-Bay-Burgundy.jpg" caption="" media="left"][text-media heading="" text="And then there is the Ulysse Nardin Diver AIR which pushes lightweight engineering to extremes, weighing just 52 grams total. An 80-percent air skeletonized automatic movement, recycled titanium, carbon fiber, and silicon components deliver full dive-watch functionality, 200-meter water resistance, and a 90-hour power reserve." image="https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0278/9723/3501/files/Ulysse-Nardin-Air.jpg" caption="" media="right"]
[text-media heading="" text="Finally, there was the Blancpain Fifty-Fathoms which was finally introduced in a 38mm case for those who wanted this diver icon in a case smaller than the 45 and 42.3mm iterations. With a case measuring 38.2mm wide, just 12mm thick, and with a lug-to-lug of 43.8mm, this might be the most wearable Fifty-Fathoms yet." image="https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0278/9723/3501/files/Blancpain-Fifty-Fathoms-38mm.jpg" caption="" media="left"]
